UniEuroFish - Strengthening the University as driver of the socio-economic and environmental sustainability in the process of European harmonization of the Fishery sector
Project Objectives
To improve the quality, the accessibility and attractiveness of the VET for the operators of the fishery sector by sewing the educational services to their needs and boosting a permanent cooperation between University and private sector.
Summary
The specific objectives are to improve the quality, the accessibility and attractiveness of the VET for the operators of the fishery sector by sewing the educational services to their needs and boosting a permanent cooperation between the University and the private sector. These Objectives will be reached through 3 Expected Results: ER1 A multi-stakeholder Protocol Agreement between the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and the operators of the fishery sector is established (fishery cooperatives and processing enterprises); ER2 One additional Vocational course sewed specifically for the fishermen is created; and ER3 One VET institution and 10 lecturers are trained and provided with tools for supporting the operators of the fishery value chain in the process of harmonization with the EU legislation.
The new VET course is compose of 4 modules on fishery, one of them specifically dedicated to the organization of the fishery Cooperatives. The module starts by stressing the 7 Cooperative Principles.
