Project Objectives

Objective of the project: Strengthen members’ capacities in the campesino organizations in production, democratic participation and advocacy with a gender equity perspective. Expected outputs: Internal democracy and proactive capacities for advocacy strengthened in top campesino organizations, A common, negotiated platform by poor rural women of demands and proposals at national level.

Summary

The project is strengthening democratic, equal and inclusive participation among the families and campesino organizations in development planning and management both at local and national level. The economic development strategy combines staple crop production for home consumption to guarantee food for the families with economic diversification, commercial linkages and job creation.
