Project Objectives

Enhance the professionalization of young fishery operators to boost the private entrepreneurship and the normative improvement in the framework of the fishery sector multifunctionality.

Summary

Expected Results: i) new professional profiles and business opportunities for the diversification of fishermen’s income, ii) enhanced professional and entrepreneurial skills for 80 young fishery operators, iii) support services delivered to fishermen through information and assistance desks, iv) number of young fishermen carrying out complementary activities for income diversification increased by 15% in the communities involved, v) reduced impact of commercial fishery on marine ecosystems, vi) development of a common Mediterranean legislative framework on fishery multi-functionality.
