Project Objectives

1.      Helping fostering the economic growth of the rural zones of Ndola and Luanshya (Copperbel province) and Mansa (Luapula province); 2. Improving the food security of the poorest families of the areas

Summary

The Rainbow project was born in 1998 to help orphans ant to fight the social consequences of AIDS. Activities made: courses about agricultural production; lending of seeds and fertilizers to 149 families (including educational and food support in order to prevent the families to sell the seeds and the fertilizers). In extreme cases, some families have received health help and the subfeeded children have been hospitalized in three nutritional centres.
