Project Objectives

The project is expected to facilitate the revival of the coffee co-operatives and the union in Zombo district, the leadership staff and memebers capacity will be improved. The business perormance of the union and the affiliates will also be enhanced.

Summary

The project intended to revamp activities of the Union and its affiliated Primary Societies in order to improve the live hood of the Coffee farmers in West Nile region through improved cooperative system in order to enhance the quantity and quality of Arabica Coffee in the region.The project will work with affiliated primary societies in the districts of Zombo, Nebbi and Arua, some selected coffee farmers to re-establish and strengthen the structure of these primary societies as a mechanism for delivery of support services for increased coffee production and productivity.The Union will be the central point for coffee processing, value addition and marketing of for both domestic and international markets for the sustainability of members’ benefit and rural development of cooperative organizations.
