Project Objectives

The project aims to strengthen capacities of civil society organisations and their networks to boost equal participation of rural women and men in local economic opportunities, advocate for their interests and contribute to policy harmonisation with the EU standards. 

Summary

The programme's expected results are: 

  • Increased capacity of partner organisation
  • CERD
  • Targeted rural organisations increase their capacity in leadership and management skills as well as in organisational and institutional development
  • Targeted rural organisations increase their knowledge and skills in lobby and advocacy
  • Policy recommendations submitted to relevant authorities for improvement
  • Rural organisations increase their capacities on production, business & marketing
  • Targeted organisations are capable to access the market
  • Contribute to business plan implementation of targeted organisations
  • Functional Marketing Export Centre and established links to markets for targeted rural organisations and small-scale farmers
  • Create job opportunities and expertise for young people in the field of agriculture and rural development
  • Vulnerable groups increase their business capacities
  • Vulnerable groups created income through its start-up business
  • Initiatives of vulnerable groups are strengthened and formalised in the cooperative/ organisations
  • Awareness raised on the economic needs of vulnerable groups
