Summary

The DAZ Addressing Members Needs Programme is a new Programme that addreses the DAZ Strategic Plan 2013-2016. The goal is increased incomes for smallholder dairy farmers and increased employment in a sustainable dairy value chain. The Programme Objective is strengthened capacity of DAZ to provie effective and efficient representation and service delivery to its members. Expected outcome results are a) Organisational strengthening of DAZ and its affiliated dairy cooperatives, b) Increased production and productivity of small-scale dairy farmers, c) Increased market for small-scale milk producers, c) Effective and sustainable dairy cooperatives, d) Increased access to financial services, e) a more enabling business environment for dairy value chain actors. The target group is not less than 50 affiliated dairy cooperatives with 5 000 individual members.
