Project Objectives
To advance citizens’ social and economic rights contributing to the socio-economic development and reform in the Municipality of Hermel.
Summary
The project aims to overcome some of the weaknesses by laying the foundations for a new economic dynamism focused on environment, tourism, and agriculture/aquaculture. Aiming to achieve three main results, in the long term, the project works to secure the social and economic rights of Hermel residents, matching rights to international human rights conventions. Each of the results to be achieved, it is focused on a domain:
- The environment. Result 1: The environmental conditions of the Assi River are improved.
- The traditional sectors. Result 2: New sources of income and employment opportunities are created, in the agriculture and aquaculture sector by unlocking new markets.
- The tourism sector. Result 3: The touristic sector is revived by setting specific business plans.
