Project Objectives

Improving quality life conditions and food security for the rural population in Phu Vang District and increase their family income.

Summary

The project aims to increase the agricultural production and farming through the recovery and reclamation of arable land, water availability for irrigation water with the establishment of cooperatives and strengthening the role of women through micro-credit for income-generating activities.

The areas of activity are: water infrastructure: 21 km of dams, 30 km of canals for irrigation and drainage, 23 bulkheads and 9 pumping stations.

Increasing in arable land and their productivity for a total of 1,600 hectares, 4,000 farm families involved and increase the harvest of 1 to 2 times a year.

Capacity Building for 5200 participants among local authorities and farming families and the creation of eight demonstration models of agricultural and farming techniques.

Breeding and production: construction of 600 pigsties, 1 artificial insemination center (7,000 beneficiary families). Microcredit activities: 1365 women beneficiaries, return of credit 100%.
