Project Objectives
The project improved the food security of the communities in Ravine Paques/Trou chouchou and Briant.
Summary
The project improved food security in the communities of Ravine Paques/Trou chouchou and Briant,specifically as regards families with women heads of household, through the strengthening of community associations, the development of productive activities, and awareness raising among women about their basic rights.
The activities include:
• Reinforcement of the organizational level in the community (management, strategy, activity planning);
• Construction of a multi-functional food processing center so that women of the community can carry out small agricultural processing and commercial activities;
• Creation of a fruit and vegetable nursery and training for women on grafting techniques;
• Training of 300 women heads of household and support of income generating activities (creation of small herds, supply of seeds for gardening);
• Awareness raising among women about their basic rights. In the eleventh section;
• Construction of a cement platform for drying harvested products.
