Project Objectives

The project aims to contribute to the strengthening of a model of sustainable tourism as a tool for fighting poverty and a mean to reduce the social exclusion of the families within the urban zone of Olinda and the rural area of Ipojuca.

Summary

General objective: To contribute to the fight against poverty and to reduce social exclusion of the families of the urban area of Olinda and the rural area of Ipojuca.

Focus: Develop and disseminate a model of sustainable tourism in the urban area of Olinda and in the rural area of Ipojuca, based on the direct involvement of marginalized families both in development and management of tourism offer, and the use and re-appropriation of the traditional local culture.
