Project Objectives

Contributing to the integral development in Montenegro through rural rehabilitation, the success and development of the cooperative system in Montenegro.

Summary

The actions made were divided by the partners into three levels: 1. legislative support relative to a general law and other relevant laws on cooperatives for rural development; 2. capacity building (macro, medium and micro level): training and support for institutions, CSO involved and potential entrepreneurs; 3. dissemination and awareness: development and distribution of information material, the dissemination of results to stakeholders, conference on cooperatives, the design of a road map. The role of CECOP was to provide its expertise on worker, social and artisan cooperatives and consultation for the drafting of a law on social cooperatives.
