Implementation of MMPA Strategic Plan Programme

The Implementation of the MMPA Strategic Plan Programme is a new overall Programme of MMPA that addresses its Strategic Plan for the Period 2014-2016. The overarching goal is increased production and consumption of milk products contributing to improved livelihoods for milk producers, food security and increased nutritional value among Malawians. The programme objective is MMPA and affiliated associations capable of providing services that address the needs of its members. The expected outcome results are: a) strengtened organisational framework and institutional capacity of FONPA, b) increased level of production and yield, c) increased participation by FONP in agriculture policy formulation. The target group is 17 000 farmers (6 800 women and 10 200 men) that are members of 25 Milk Bulking Groups and affiliated to three Regional Associations.
