Project Objectives

Reduce poverty and social and commercial exclusion of the agricultural cooperative "Fraile Pintado" in the rural area of Vinalito, Jujuy, Northern Argentina.

Summary

The project is divided into three parallel components: - The right to a dwelling worthy and healthy; - The right to environmental sustainability; - Support the strengthening and affirmation of the role of children, adolescents, women and families through recreational and sports activities and through the organization of "special days" to recreate (eg Mother's Day, Father's Day, feast of the child, spring festival ... etc..). Fitting into a broader framework of intervention of Cephas in the area, the project will continue to work with a social group beneficiary of the Viviendas Plan, members of the Cooperative Fraile Pintado. As part of the project interventions, four houses will be built with the use of sustainable building techniques and strategic planning. The target population will have an active participation in decision-making and implementation of the planned activities and will be teached on the issues of endogenous development, green building and sustainable farming. In this context, the contribution of women and the family plays a crucial role. The project supports and strengthens the role of the woman, as a daughter, as a teenager and as a mother, even though the creation of an outpatient obstetrics and gynecology for the Hogar Nuestra Senora de Belen de Jujuy, a center that welcomes teenage mothers (11/18 years ), victims of abuse and violence
