Project Objectives

Promoting of the rural development of Port Loko District in Sierra Leone, in order to increase agricultural productivity, workplaces and the living conditions of local population.

Summary

The goal of the project is to promote cooperative world's values in rural development thanks to: 1. farmers education; 2. agricultural modern technologies introduction; 3. the increase of available lands for traditional and new plantations; 4. the improvement of outputs' quality and quantity in order to improve the chance of selling them. The project is divided in 3 linked phases: 1. professional education and literacy of the farmers; 2. cooperative technical assistance; 3. farming new lands with modern wells.
