Project Objectives

To support teachers and educators, in close collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Education

Summary

EducAid has been collaborating since 2003 with its Palestinian partner Rec (Remedial Education Center) to promote school inclusion of children with special needs. In March of 2009 the new GA-S-Ink project has kicked off, funded by the European Union, the Emilia Romagna Region and the municipalities of Rimini, Ravenna and Riccione. The project aimed to support the government teachers from six schools in the Gaza Strip, in Jabalia and Beit Lhaia. The closure of the Gaza Strip has made it impossible for children to have access to psychosocial support, adequate medical care, nor to appropriate educational environments. It was therefore made a plan for the promotion of an inclusive school, also for the most disadvantaged children.
