Project Objectives

Contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of the population belonging to the Peace Community of San José de Apartado; fight the forced displacement and encourage the return in their areas of origin of families forced to went away because of the violence, and to promote the peace and awareness process of Colombian, Italian and international public opinion on the situation experienced by the Community

Summary

In a country where various armed groups want to control the land and its riches, the volunteers of Operation Dove, the Nonviolent Peace Corps Association, supported the Peace Community of San José de Apartado which is made up of 1,000 people who chose to defend their lives and territory not with weapons but with neutrality and nonviolence
