Project Objectives

Improving population's living conditions

Summary

The main focus of the project is to fight the “forced marriage” phenomenon thanks to te access to primary education. In fact it has been noted that educated girls are not touched by the process, ant to fight this families are accustomed to arrange marriages when the girls are 7-10 years old. As a result, these children grow up in their husband's families. The Church has been fighting this ancient phenomenon since the last 30 years and it is trying to give again to women their lost dignity. Howhever the task is very difficult because 80% of the region is illiterate
