Project Objectives

The project objective is to improve smallholder dairy cooperative management and productivity leading to enhanced livelihoods

Summary

Zimbabwe Association of Dairy Farmers was established to support smallholder dairy farmers in Zimbabwe. The programme aims at improving the capacity of small scale milk producers who are part of Milk Producer Associations to produce sustainable and high quality milk volumes for the market. Effective from 2014, We Effect will support ZADF by building their capacity to improve the profitability and sustainability of smallholder dairy cooperatives. The specific objectives of the programme are improving the organisation and capacity of smallholder milk producers, improving efficiency and effectiveness at Milk Producers Association level and to improve the coordination role of ZADF at national level. The programme will work with 10 Milk Producer Associations in 4 Provinces of Zimbabwe, nemely Midlands, Matebeleland South, Mashonaland East and Manicaland.
