Project Objectives

The objective is to strengthen the capacity of Houney Council to undertake interest representation and provide member services.

Summary

The ZHC addressing Honey Producers and Processors Needs Programme 2011-2015 is an on-going Programme. The overarching goal is to contribute to the development of a sustainable honey industry which contributes to improved incomes and livelihoods of honey value chain actors and national development. The Programme objective is to strengthen the capacity of ZHC to satisfy its members' - both men and women - needs. The expected outcome results are a) a member driven, well structured, governed and sustainable ZHC with the capacity to provide effective and efficient services to its members, b) Improved policies and legal framework for the honey industry, c) Improved market access and profitability for members. The target group is no less than 15 000 individual members and 14 hony processors affiliated to ZHC.
