To give support in re-building activities
Summary
In Petit-Goâve, in collaboration with partners, we support 1.700 members (gender balanced) of Vialet Small Farmers Association and their family; we rebuilt and equipped the processing plants and cooperative premises of Topla Cooperative; creation of a green house and training; indirect beneficiaries are 80.000 people living in Vialet. In Les Cayes: in collaboration with our partners, we supported the cooperatives members of RECOCAS over 2.000 coffee producers, 35% women members, 11 cooperatives. We provided tools and agricultural inputs to local cooperatives, technical assistance and advocacy to 300 coffee producers, we reactivated the local trading system and carried out training activity for local co-operators to improve quantity and quality of their production. Training and technical assistance provided to 1.000 small farmers, 70 women and their family. In Port Au Prince we supported the construction by MSF (Doctors Without Borders) of a module of the Mobile Emergency Hospital (composed by 250 containers) that will help with emergency hospitalization of Port Au Prince populations.
