General Assembly 2022

25.05.2022

The location of the 2022 General Assembly took place in Brussels, Belgium hosted by Copa-Cogeca on Wednesday 25 of May.

AGENDA:
Morning – Board meeting
Afternoon – GA with strategy talks, statutory business and by-elections – 14:00 (CEST)

In this GA we moved back to the more familiar formats we enjoyed before the pandemic combined with options to attend digitally. We gathered once again the whole European cooperative family with the aim to explore and leverage the extraordinary dynamism displayed by cooperatives in the past two years.

The Assembly had a by-election process to fill four remaining seats in the board in order to secure a better balance in gender (as mentioned in the statutes) and a good representation of the vast diversity of the cooperative movement. Additionally all reports including the annual report and work programme were adopted.

Newly elected board members:

  • Illia Gorokhovskyi of Ukrkoopspilka (Coop Ukraine)
  • Netta Kedem of Kibbutz Movement (Israel)
  • Sofie Kjellin of HSB (Sweden)
  • Astri Liland of the National Federation of Agri Coops (Norway)

Furthermore the board nominated Anu Puusa as fourth vice-president. She replaces Pernilla Bonde.

NOTE: The General Assembly’s conference that was originally foreseen for 24 May will be moved to September.
