Cooperatives Europe is launching a call for expression of interest to select which among its members may be interested in hosting and installing Coopedia Knowledge Base on their respective websites.  As presented at the 2020 General Assembly, this software would allow members to contribute to and benefit from knowledge sharing on cooperative entrepreneurship worldwide.

As a continuous activity under the ICA-EU Partnership #coops4dev Cooperatives Europe will finance technical maintenance support of the installations until May 2021.

About Coopedia Knowledge Base

Coopedia Knowledge Base is a collaborative search engine listing resources (guides, videos, books, and much more) on cooperative entrepreneurship.

It aims to give young entrepreneurs worldwide the support and tools they need to set up cooperative businesses, and to provide learning and introduction to students and actors interested in the cooperative business model. It allows them to find various types of materials, in a variety of languages, based on their topics of interest. Coopedia will be officially launched in September 2020.

Get to know more about how to host and install Coopedia Knowledge Base on your website by reading the full call for expression of interest.

Application

Deadline for submission: 22 September

Please send your application (by filling out the editable PDF) and any questions to Hanna Persson – h.persson@coopseurope-com.alwaysdata.net

The Knowledge Base technology is developed by Cooperatives Europe under the ICA-EU Partnership (#coops4dev). The idea emerged via the
CoopStarter 2.0 project led by Cooperatives Europe and was implemented and upscaled via the Global Cooperative Entrepreneurs (GCE) programme, an activity of #coops4dev.

Why install Coopedia?

Coopedia allows your organisation to better organise and access your resources on cooperative entrepreneurship, both internal (private) as well as public, increasing visibility of the work you have produced. This means your public reports, videos and PDFs can be easily found by the cooperative community worldwide. Meanwhile your private resources, such as working documents and internal papers, can be shared within your chosen network, i.e. members, staff or students.

Installing Coopedia will also allow you to:

  • Get connected to a continuously growing network of cooperative experts and young cooperative entrepreneurs worldwide

  • Get easier access to new sources of materials related to cooperative entrepreneurship indexed and peer reviewed via Coopedia Knowledge Base

  • Personalise it: All components are open source and modular (you can choose the features you need or even start developing your own)

  • Join a federated network to capitalise the 5th cooperative principle in an innovative way
